The Young Society of Love and Hope will host a “Haute Tea” at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort on Friday, May 18, 2012. The event will honor Love and Hope’s Life Chairman Sonja Zuckerman and will include a fashion presentation highlighting the spring/summer 2012 shoe and designer handbag collections by Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, a decadent afternoon tea-inspired menu, champagne, silent auction and prize to the finest hat of the day! This fun and unique afternoon is designed to bring women together while increasing awareness about diabetes and the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute. Hats and heels encouraged!

About Sonja Zuckerman
Sonja Zuckerman is the Life Chairman of the Love and Hope committee for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF). Serving at the helm of this unparalleled fundraising effort since its inception more than 30 years ago, she has helped to raise millions of dollars for the DRI.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, Mrs. Zuckerman moved to Israel early on and was educated in French schools. By the time she came to the United States, more than 50 years ago, she had mastered seven languages. Mrs. Zuckerman became an active participant in important causes in New York, Chicago, and Detroit, where she became the impetus that launched the long-standing Angel Ball, benefiting the National Council for Jewish Women.
