Jennifer Garner will host this year’s star-studded Pink Party, a runway show and party brought to you by Elyse Walker at current it-spot Drai’s Hollywood. Expect to see fashions from such Elyse Walker–approved heavy hitters as Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Blumarine, Barbara Bui, J. Mendel, and Valentino. A live auction hosted by Martin Short.

Elyse Walker, owner of the celebrated boutique in Pacific Palisades, started the Pink Party for very personal reasons. Before Elyse ran this sleek and chic shop, back when she was a math major at Columbia University, her mother was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer. Elyse managed to graduate and take over her family retail business in New York.

Her mother passed away at the shockingly young age of 42. Years later, in 1999, Walker established her incredibly successful namesake store, and as recently as this summer, expanded her retail empire to include an über-sophisticated online editorial and retail style depot. In between these pursuits, she found time to launch the Pink Party—a benefit to help Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. 2010 marks the sixth year of this bash, and it promises to be tremendously successful. In addition to hostess Jennifer Garner, the event will feature Hollywood supporters like Denise Richards, Anna Kournikova, Nicole Richie, Marcia Cross, James Denton and many more.

About Elyse Walker

With an eye for color and proportion, a keen buying sense, and a deep love for helping clients find their personal style, Elyse Walker has established one of the most successful specialty boutiques in the country. Since its opening in 1999, her namesake store has grown to 6,500 square feet and spans nearly an entire block of Antioch Street in Pacific Palisades, Calif., attracting women from all over the country who are looking for noteworthy and fashion-forward designs.

Elyse lives by the motto that whatever you accomplish in life, you have to give back. Inspired by her mother as well as the extraordinary women she encounters on a daily basis, it is her most heartfelt desire to help find a cure for women’s cancer.

“Putting this party together each year is one of the most rewarding things I do,” she says. “I learned at a young age that life is very short. That’s why we all need to celebrate – every milestone, every birthday. You have to celebrate life.”

Elyse Walker stocks designers ranging from Valentino to Vince, James Perse to Jimmy Choo. The store has expanded three times over the years, eventually quadrupling its original size.
