New York NY
Code Purple Event is throwing a huge fundraising fashion show the last night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City on the USS Intrepid. The show will feature exclusively made collections from three world-renowned designers who have co-signed to our mission of fighting malaria around the world with mosquito repellent fabric. Accompany this international movement by donating your services. Your presence/service is tax deductable and will secure your company a spot on our 18 x 50 ft great wall display in front of an audience of about 2,500 A-list guests, industry influencers, and general admissions. You will be energized as you hear our heartbeat for men, women, and children who are in such desperate need of a cure for malaria.
They will start the evening in a cocktail hour setting enjoying passed food and drink while walking around an exhibition style area with information about the product, show and the mission. Guests will then be ushered into the runway set for the program. At the conclusion of the show, select pieces featured in the show will be auctioned off in an open-bid format with a live auctioneer. On the way out, guests will walk back through the reception room to purchase Moskeeto Hood-E™, make donations, and depart with a gift bag of information and giveaways.
In Africa, a child dies every 45 seconds. This life-threatening disease is caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through bites of infected mosquitoes. Highest at risk are poor communities who cannot afford treatment or have limited access to healthcare, trapping families in a downward spiral of poverty. Ninety percent of Malaria related deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa.
ABOUT CODE PURPLE
This project came to fruition through combining the critical need for a solution to a rampant epidemic with the passion and expertise of a group of colleagues. CODE PURPLE will bring world renowned designers and fashion moguls in the name of protecting innocent people from contracting malaria. Each show will feature collections that incorporate the same treated fabric as the Moskeeto Hood-E™. The vibrant purple hue will be consistent throughout each collection as well as the overall theme of the event. Guests, too, are encouraged to incorporate purple into their wardrobes or accessories in support of the evening.
