Camille quits RHOBH over “demotion to guest star”… as David Foster’s wife, Yolanda is said to join cast.
Rumors continue to circulate about who’s in and who’s out as filming for Season 3 will begin in two weeks. However, Taylor Armstrong, Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof, Brandi Glanville, and Kyle Richards will all be asked to return, according to RadarOnline.
The established cast members were shocked when Camille discovered Bravo executives did not want her as part of the main cast anymore, and decided an honorable exit was preferable to guest star status.
A source told RadarOnline: “Camille was miffed that she was only being asked to come back as an occasional guest, and not part of the regular cast.”
“Camille feels like producers are retaliating against her because in season one she was portrayed as the villain, but during season two, as her life calmed down because most of her divorce drama was finished, she was in a much better place, and very happy.”
“Camille doesn’t need to be on the show and she turned down the offer. She thanked the producers for putting her on the show and she is moving on with her life.”
Kelsey Grammer‘s former wife was furious when it was claimed she had been fired from the popular program.
“I was not fired,” Camille tells The Huffington Post. “I didn’t want to expose my personal life so much anymore. I had done that and was over that. I care very much for my family and children and that show tends to take me away from them. I really want to focus on them right now.”
But US Weekly is reporting that Camille was axed from the show because she is so demanding. A source told the magazine: “She’s demanding and complicated to work with. She’s very careful about how she’s portrayed, and didn’t want to put herself out there without having a say in how she came across. She wants to move on in a positive direction in her life.”
However it now seems the truth is somewhere between.
“Most of the Housewives fight about money and are willing to make a fool out of themselves on camera as long as they get paid a fortune,” an ex-Housewife (named Jill Zarin) reveals. “The negotiations are brutal and the producers always assume they have the upper hand, as usually the women will do anything to stay on the show.
“Camille was different: she doesn’t need the money, plus she doesn’t crave the attention that someone like Bethenny [Frankel] does,” the ex-Housewife adds. Ouch!
Vanderpump had been destined to have her own spin-off show, but after filming a pilot TV executives decided not to pick it up, dashing her hopes of becoming the next Bethenny who enjoyed break-out success from the New York Housewives show.
On Monday, a source close to Dutch model/interior designer Yolanda Hadid told Access Hollywood that she is in talks to join the franchise.
Yolanda is “just what the show needs,” reveals a source. “Adding a model to the mix is sure to make for new and interesting drama!”
Yolanda appeared on the Dutch reality show, Nederlandse Hollywood Vrouwen, has yet to make a decision about joining the Housewives franchise. “I’m not there yet, I’m thinking about it,” Yolanda told Star. “I’m not sure that’s what I want to do.”
Yolanda, who has three children – Anward, Gigi and Bella, admitted that “it’s a big decision to make.”
“I’m taking this week to think about it.”
Yolanda is married to Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter, David Foster. She is his fourth wife.
She is the fourth wife of Foster, who is the “master of pop kitsch” according to Rolling Stone.
Foster is noted for discovering singers such as Michael Bublé, Josh Groban and Charice Pempengco; and for producing some of the most successful artists in the world, such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Céline Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Toni Braxton, Madonna and Michael Jackson.
David‘s third wife is none other than, Linda Thompson, who has appeared on RHOBH several times with BFF, Taylor. David and Linda became a songwriting team, collaborating on several songs including “I Have Nothing” performed by Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard, and “Grown-Up Christmas List“. Linda filed for divorce on July 11, 2005, the day after her short-lived reality series, The Princes of Malibu, premiered.
David married Yolanda in Beverly Hills on November 11, 2011 in a star-studded 11/11/11-themed ceremony.
Meanwhile, Camille‘s life has finally found some stability after reaching a custody agreement with Kelsey over their children, and because of her blossoming relationship with Greek hunk Dimitri Charalambopoulos.
A source said: “Camille doesn’t regret doing the show, but it definitely took its toll on her.”
The news came after she was spotted smooching Dimitri at the Moon nightclub inside the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas this weekend.
Camille has been dating the 35-year-old bankruptcy lawyer, since September of last year.
