Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop are out! Now let’s meet who’s in.
It didn’t take long for the finger of blame to point in the direction of Ramona Singer, for getting rid of Jill at least. Us magazine reports a source saying that Singer ‘came to Bravo with a few pals she thought would make good additions.
Bravo decided to go with the new girls and not Jill, so Ramona basically ran her off the show.’ Singer insists she doesn’t wield that much power, telling Us: ‘We can recommend people to come to the show, but it’s not my decision.’
A report in New York’s Daily News name the three brave women who will bring “new energy” back to New York City. The new cast will include a woman in the fashion business, a philanthropist with three children and a writer.
Replacement “housewives” will include someone a Bravo source says “will add quite a bit of much-needed real class to the show”: author and ex-ABC producer Carole Radziwill, the daughter-in-law of Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ sister, Lee Radziwill.
Carole’s late husband, Anthony Radziwill — thought to be John F. Kennedy Jr.’s favorite cousin — died of cancer only a month after JFK Jr.’s death in the plane crash in 1999, that also claimed his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy — one of Carole Radziwill’s best friends.
Fashion designer Heather Thomson, who has two kids and a shapewear line called Yummie Tummie, will reportedly join Radziwill and “Wall Street wife” Aviva Drescher, a mom of three, as cast newbies.
A rep for Bravo says the network, which airs The Real Housewives of New York City, has not made any announcements about new ladies yet.
These lovely ladies will join returning cast members Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn De Lesseps.
