Fashion For Life 2012 Gala honors fashion retailer Akira Chicago and docu-feature film Colored My Mind benefit Autism Speaks.
February 12, 2012
8PM (VIP 7-8 PM)
The Fashion for Life Gala conceptually is an annual black tie event that will focus on honoring a local fashionista for their accomplishments in the industry, as well as celebrating the achievements of those who give back to charitable causes. Each year our board will select a specific cause to dedicate that year’s gala to, and celebrate it in the name of fashion. This year’s choice is Autism. Our official beneficiary for this year’s cause is Autism Speaks.
Akira Chicago and Colored My Mind
Cocktail/Media Reception: The Reception will allow our corporate partners to not only engage with the media, this is will also serve as a platform for our attendees to interact with our Hosts, partner’s brands, and Autism Speaks. Dinner/Fashion Presentation/Awards Presentation: While enjoying an exquisite array of cuisine, there will be a host of presentations. The Fashion Presentation will be a perpetual run-way show open to Special Invited Celebrity Guests, Buyers from various different Fashion Houses, Retailers, Media Representatives, and Corporate Partners. The Fashion Show gives our corporate partners the opportunity to present their products and services to potential consumers in a more intimate setting. Studies show that most consumers are more likely to buy products that are marketed to them through targeted branding campaigns such as this event. The awards presentation will be immediately following the Fashion Presentation. Additionally, we will have a special music performance and silent auction.

About Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Their longtime friend Bernie Marcus donated $25 million to help financially launch the organization. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
