The 61st Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art – Miami’s oldest juried fine arts show – exhibits the work of more than 200 artists. Recognized as one of the top-rated outdoor exhibits of fine art, the festival attracts thousands annually to the grounds of the University of Miami and the Lowe Art Museum with art for many budgets, live entertainment, children’s art experiences and a variety of dining options.
Cash awards across eleven categories will total over $20,000, while a Student Artist Showcase will feature students’ art from around Miami-Dade County. Also, the festival’s popular Art Park will offer craft projects for children ages 5 to 12.
About Beaux Arts Festival
Beaux Arts was founded in 1952 by fifty founding members under the direction of Ann Atkinson, then Assistant Director of the newly built Joe and Emily Lowe Art Gallery. The purpose of the group was to promote and create an interest in art and art appreciation throughout the community, as well as to provide improvements, equipment and financial assistance to the Lowe Gallery (renamed Lowe Art Museum in 1968).
