A New Spin-off Show for Kim Zolciak

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kim Zolciak is getting her own television show.

“Originally the show was to be five African American women but after Bravo met Kim, they insisted she be part of the cast,” an insider tells me. “Kim is a game-changer. She was the first housewife to release a single [“Tardy for the Party”] and just like Bethenny [Frankel], she fell in love and got pregnant while taping the show. She’s the perfect choice for the next lady to get her own show.”

A report first came out earlier this year stating the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her costar Nene Leakes were in talks with Bravo to get their own shows.

While there’s no confirmation yet on the Nene’s show, Rob Shuter of the Huffington Post revealed that Bravo is moving ahead with a reality show for Kim.

When viewers first met Kim, she was a single mother of two, spoiled by her still-married lover, known on the show as Big Poppa [Lee Najjar}, and getting into cat fights with Nene and the other Housewives from Atlanta.

The third season of RHOA ended with Kim pregnant with a child by a man who viewers only met a few episodes before the reunion. His name is Kroy Biermann, a defensive star for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

Kim gave birth to her third child, a baby boy, son Kroy Jagger, May 31, and is currently engaged and living with her beau/baby daddy Kroy.

Kim’s new show is going to follow the very successful Bethenny formula,” an insider adds. “A new mom and her fiancé trying to make everything work. Juggling baby, boyfriend and career. But instead of all those trips to a therapist that Bethenny made, expect Kim to work out her problems at the nail salon with friends.”

The season three finale of RHOA brought in a staggering 4.4 million viewers. Season four filming began in late April and is set to debut later this year.
