Juicing your fruits and veggies has been all the rage lately, and for good reason! There has been much evidence to show that juicing aids in alleviating medical conditions like high blood pressure and cancer, and allows the body to ingest necessary nutrients without putting strain on the digestive system.
Similarly, fruit and vegetable smoothies offer similar benefits while keeping the nutrient-dense skin of cucumbers and leaves of spinach. The result is the release of fiber-rich foods in a slow and regulated manner into the blood stream, which prevents the body from experiencing sharp spikes in blood sugar. These spikes mean the body needs to produce more insulin in order to keep the blood sugar regulated, and can often result in symptoms like fatigue and irritability.
Probably one of the most important benefits of consuming fruits and veggies through juicing and smoothies is the wonders it does for our skin! We all know that what manifests on the outside of our bodies is a direct representation of what is happening on the inside. If we are eating a healthy and balanced diet that is rich in the essential nutrients our bodies need to stay sexy, then it will most certainly show!
We have done extensive research on juicing and smoothie recipes, and after trying some awful and delicious concoctions we have compiled a list of 5 juice and smoothie recipes that you won’t mind chugging in the morning!
