RHOC Ladies Are Back For Season 8

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” returns Monday, April 1st with a new cast member, a visit from the past, and is filled with drama, drama, DRAMA!

Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi, Alexis Bellino and Heather Dubrow will return for season 8. The season also welcomes a new star, Lydia McLaughlin.

Original Housewife Vicki Gunvalson appears to be in a better place after last season and the mother of two becomes a first time grandmother. Her relationship with Brooks Ayers, however, is still causing problems between her and her daughter Brianna Culberson.

“I miss Brooks and so we’re gonna continue doing it,” Vicki tells her daughter Brianna in one scene.
“If you wanna have him come here that’s totally cool I’m just not gonna live here,” Brianna responds, much to her mother’s dismay.

Tamra Barney‘s life was paradise at the end of last season, as Eddie Judge proposed in Bora Bora. But when reality starts to set in as the couple moves in and struggles to merge their separate lives. Between the challenges of trying to open their fitness studio and the stress of trying to plan a wedding. Tamra grows frustrated over her fiance’s reluctance to set a wedding date.

“Stop asking me when we’re going to get married,” he tells her. “I don’t need the pressure.”

The show was filmed last year and Tamra took to Twitter last week to assure fans the wedding is still on.

She wrote: “Yes, we have set a date and it is only a few months away.”
Tamra has and adult son, Ryan, from her first marriage to Darren Vieth and three young children with her second husband, Simon Barney, whom she divorced in 2010.

Original Housewife Lauri Waring Peterson, who appeared during seasons 1-4, also makes a surprising return. Lauri‘s short return will reveal shocking information about one of the housewives.

Gretchen Rossi, meanwhile, is ready to start a family with boyfriend Slade Smiley. The 34-year-old has previously been hesitant because Slade has struggled to pay child support for his young son Grayson, who suffers from Diffuse Fibrillary Astrocytoma.

But it seems she has put her concerns aside, saying: “Now is the time to start having lots of sex and have babies,” she laughs. By the way…Slade landed a job as a radio DJ

Alexis Bellino and her husband Jim return despite Tamra’s previous claims that she was fired. The mother of three is also rocking an adorable new hairstyle. Alexis turns to Vicki for comfort and friendship. The 33-year-old is also close friends with newbie Lydia McLaughlin, still appears to be on the outs with most of her cast mates.

“If she’s friends with Alexis, maybe she’s not my kind of people,” Heather says of Lydia, a self-proclaimed devout Christian.

Heather Dubrow, the stay at home mother of four’s life takes a turn. Heather is offered acting roles on two popular sitcoms. Trouble comes from the most unexpected source, her husband, Terry as they are seen quarreling in the Season 8 trailer. She slams him as a “jerk.” It appears that her marriage may have run into problems.

Lydia McLaughlin joins “The Real Housewives of Orange County” in Season 8. Lydia is the granddaughter of Canadian media mogul Geoff Stirling, founder of NTV, the first 24-hour television station in Canada. Lydia and her husband Doug live in Dana Point with their two sons, 4-year-old Stirling and 2-year-old Maverick. This young, kooky mother always puts her family and faith first, but in her spare time, she and her husband channel her grandfather’s entrepreneurial spirit by running Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine highlighting the glamorous life.
