The Official Opening of the 10022-Shoe Floor and Kick-off Saks Loves a Cause

Over 100 people came out to meet British shoe designer extraordinaire Nicholas Kirkwood on Wednesday, February 6. Kirkwood was at Saks previewing and signing his Spring 2013 collection. The 32 year old is famous for the architectural quality of his designs and his innovative use of materials including devoré satin, hand-printed suede and leather, degradé fabrics, python, shaved stingray, laser-cut mirror leather, cobra and rubberized leather.

Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour is expanding its designer shoe collection, adopting the very stylish “ZIP Code” 10022-SHOE, after the New York flagship’s shoe salon. With an enhanced selection featuring the most sought after designers.

This February, Saks Fifth Avenue will give 5% of all registered purchases made with a Saks Fifth Avenue credit card back to charity with an initiative called Saks Loves Your Cause. The donations will benefit The American Red Cross and The Mount Sinai Medical Foundation and University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Guests enjoyed an evening of music, cocktails and shopping for a good cause. “We are very pleased to host Nicholas, open our newly renovated 10022-Shoe floor and kick-off Saks Loves a Cause”. commented Deborah Slack, Vice President and General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour.
