Best Hotel:
Beach House
Pulling up to the Beach House our driver gave us a thumbs up. Located in Magaluf‘s privileged corner in Calvià, the Beach House is well manicured. The gorgeous staff at the front desk also doubles as knowledgeable concierges.
Our ocean front room provided a panoramic vista of multimillion dollar yachts and sunbathers enjoying the royal blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. I highly recommend including the daily breakfast buffet option when booking your reservation at this Melia International hotel. Of course there is an omelet chef but the array of local fruits will always get your day in the sun started in the right direction.
Oksana Pyatnochka the hotel’s Guest Experience Manager shared that the current 4-star rating of the Beach House will gain a 5-star classification when it reopens for the 2014 season. www.Melia.com Avenida Notario Alemany nº 1, 07181 Calvià Islas Baleares, Spain +34 971 12 39 50

Best Spa & Salon:
Felix Salon If you would like to book an appointment with Felix Götze, do so two weeks in advance. www.felixhair.com C/ma del Moro 5, 07012 Palma, Spain +34 971 72 91 96
Best Restaurant:

Restaurante Flanigan
Looking or a romantic evening by the water. Puerto Portals provides the perfect backdrop. This fine dining restaurant is located at it’s glitzy marina. I recommend the Mallorcan Turbot, tradition Spanish Paella and the favorite of all, the famous apple pie.
After dinner take a stroll along the docked boats that are more like ocean liners than pleasure yachts. It is the favored hangout for royalty and celebrities. www.Flanigan.es Puerto Portals, local 16, 07181 Calviá, Palma de Mallorca, Islas Baleares, Spain +34 971 67 91 91
Best Shopping:
Paseo del Borne is located in the heart of Palma. This tree lined boulevard offers elegant labels from the world of fashion and true artisan shops. You will enjoy exploring the cobble stoned streets. Wear comfortable walking shoes and stop into the many wine bars.

Best Nightclub or Lounge
At Restaurante Tast Club you will not find a menu posted outside or a name displayed at Carrer Sant Jaume 6, Elegantly tucked-away, Restaurante Tast Club boasts about not advertising. Word-of-mouth has made this a hotspot for those who delight in great food and spirits in a discreet and sophisticated environment. Look for a courtyard with a multitude of burning candles and a promise of something special at the far end. Formerly a cigar bar, you’ll also discover the impressively stocked humidor. Could you live there:
Absolutely!!!
TIP:
Mallorca is larger than it appears. There is something for everyone. You will not find many Americans at all. But most speak english due to the large British community. In order to explore all the beauty the island has to offer – plan for a two week visit. However, for a raucous ‘Stag or Hen‘ party – a weekend will do.
