After 18 years of living in the nation’s capital, Erica considers herself a true Washingtonian. This social butterfly has a passion for wine and fine dining. She was a full-time employee of the city’s nationally known and revered newspaper, The Washington Post, where she wrote reviews of new restaurants and the best happy hour locations in the area. With an adventurous spirit, she enjoys meeting new people, exploring different cultures and cuisines, as well as cycling on the local trails. She is an avid sports fan who enjoys great sunny days at Nationals Park as well as cheering at FedEx Field for the Washington Redskins, whose jerseys she’s modeled for the cover of the league’s catalog, NFL Shop, in 2012.
Erica holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism, from Howard University. She has a successful healthcare administration career, of over a decade, where she holds a leadership position with one of the largest medical oncology groups within the Washington area.
A lover of city life, she has also lived in New York City, where she was a business development officer for the second largest healthcare system in the country.
Working with troubled youth and with those affected by domestic violence gives her purpose and fulfillment. She participates in many local and national charities and fundraising efforts, including Paul’s Ride for Life, Bike Ride Rwanda, and the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society.
