RHOBH’s Lisa and Brandi tell what they know about the upcoming season, as producers are supposedly shopping around for new cast members.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season two has just come to an end with a big lavish wedding and a much-anticipated reunion next week. But none of the women have received contracts for the third season, which has left a big question mark for the show. This particular city of the successful franchise has been very dramatic.
NBCUniversal Direct sat down with cast members Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville to discuss the reunion and what didn’t make it on television during the season.
It seems that Bravo is being careful about how they cast this third season, if they do decide to go ahead with the show. With lawsuits left and right, the women may be cautious about who they want to film with.
Many fans were shocked to see that one of the biggest catfights that erupted on the reunion occurred when Adrienne Maloof confronts Lisa about some negative comments she made about her business ventures.
But, it seems that the restaurateur also had a problem with stuff that was said about her that she wasn’t aware of.
“I spent most of the reunion, unfortunately, in defense mode,” Lisa tells NBCUniversal Direct. “I find it really difficult. It’s quite hard when you go through a show and you’re kind of in your own world, which I was very much, I was having fun and working really hard… But, when you see things aired and you see things being said, it’s kind of upsetting. So, I felt I was in defense mode for a lot of it.”
When it comes to raising eyebrows Brandi Glanville is certainly an expert. In the past month she has married her best friend in Las Vegas on the spur of the moment, and slammed rumors that she slept with Demi Moore.
But while filming Watch What Happens Live on Bravo the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added one more thing to her list – claiming she had a brief fling with Gerard Butler.
When Andy asked Brandi to rate the 42-year-old’s bedroom skills she said that he is an “11” out of ten.
Brandi then collapsed into giggles and, looking at the camera, apologized to the actor, saying: ‘I had no choice.’
She later wrote on her Twitter page: ‘@BravoAndy OMG I am in soooo much trouble for my GB answer on plead the F N 5Th!!’
After Camille Grammer revealed exclusively to HuffPost Celebrity that Bravo was looking for new castmembers to replace the original Beverly Hills “Housewives,” Rob Shuter sat down with Brandi and Lisa, who are not sure they even want to return to the show.
“I’m coming back if they give me $1 million,” Brandi said, laughing. “I’ve had a great time… A little bit of a rough start. By the end, I’ve made some great friends.”
Similarly, Brandi‘s co-star Lisa, who has already filmed the pilot for a Bravo spinoff following the launch of her new L.A. restaurant Sur, is unsure about her future when it comes to “Housewives.”
“I’ve had an amazing experience,” said Lisa. “I love working with Andy and our producers are really great. We’ve had a really good time, but it’s been a hell of a year for me.”
“Bravo has taped a pilot with Lisa for her own show and is now deciding if they want to greenlight a full series based around her life and family,” a network insider told me. “They do not rush into these sorts of things, but if all goes according to plan, Lisa will soon have her own reality show.”
Given that Lisa has written a book about being the ideal host for parties, one could imagine that her RHOBH‘s spin-off will focus on her hosting ways, while Kevin Lee is set to plan the events.
The British beauty made her fortune in the restaurant business in England before moving with her family to California, where they have just opened sexy new lounge SUR.
“Initially the producers were not sure they even wanted her to be part of the Beverly Hills cast, but were won over when they met her flamboyant houseguest, Cedric Martinez, who moved back in with her once the show started filming, before everything turned bad,” according to Shuter.
Cedric, who turned up on a recent episode of the show, told Radar Online that Lisa was a “bitter, conniving woman who will do anything for fame. … I’m confident that as the truth slowly comes out, the public will come to realize Lisa‘s pretty facade hides a heartless, bitter, rotting core.”
The ladies will return for a triple dose of drama with a three-part reunion.
The first episode, airing January 30, will center on Camille and Taylor’s tea party confrontation, Kim and Kyle‘s SUR party drama, Lisa’s “Maloof-hoof” joke, and the Game Night, Brandi accusing Kim of doing “crystal meth in the bathroom” all night.
On February 6, the Housewives — including Brandi — will talk about their many relationships, including Taylor’s troubled marriage and’s new Greek god Dimitri Charalambopoulos.
The third installment, airing February 13, will wrap things up with an individual interview with Kim — where she opens up about her addiction to alcohol — a quickie appearance by newbie Dana Wilkey, and a short Q&A featuring some of the Househusbands.
Following the final leg of the reunion, Bravo will air a special “Lost Footage” episode on Thursday, February 16 at 9 p.m., complete with unseen clips from the Malibu Beach party, along with other intense footage that’s sure to “surprise, astonish and amuse,” according to Bravo’s press release.
The whole cast went to dinner afterwards
“They were exhausted when they got out,” the insider explains. “But they were also hungry.” As soon as the filming wrapped, everyone headed to Lisa’s new restaurant, SUR, for a big group dinner. “Like every reunion, there were plenty of heated moments,” the insider adds. “But it didn’t seem like anyone left with hard feelings. Everyone was drinking and joking around with each other at the restaurant.”
Part 1 of the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
