Children’s Hospital is very dear to Erin and she appreciates your continued support.
A big Children’s Hospital bear hug to everyone who came out on Wednesday to the Sip with Socialites Cocktail Hour to benefit the Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s National Medical Center. In a town of power happy hours and deals sealed “on the rocks,” it is a wonderful change of pace to see DC’s finest young professionals out in force to support a cause that makes a tremendous difference in the lives of children and families around the region.

I cannot thank everyone enough for opening their hearts and pockets to a cause so close to my heart. As many of you know, as a native Washingtonian, I was treated at Children’s during my youth and have only the kindest words and applause for one of the finest pediatric care centers in the country. Their efforts are truly unmatched in promoting comprehensive and sustainable long-term care where no child is turned away.

I cannot believe 2013 is just around the corner, but Children’s annual “Dancing After Dark” (a DC must!) benefit is coming up in January at Sweden House and your continued support would be welcomed. We are also in the talks for a charity walk/run in the Spring, so please reach out to me if you are interested in becoming more involved in these charities.

Thank you again to friends old and new, our sponsors, and even those of you who could not tear yourselves away from your desks Wednesday night: your generosity and support will be sure to make an impact in our community.
Sincerely,

About the Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s National Medical Center
In March 2007, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation committed $1.25 million in cash and $750,000 in assets as the lead gift in the creation of a Pediatric Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC). The facility will help CNMC continue to provide the best pediatric diabetes care in the DC area with new state-of-the-art outpatient treatment rooms and an education center that will serve to teach families about diabetes management and provide resources for further information.
