The 2013 Inauguration has been extremely busy this year for our 44th President Barack Obama. On Thursday, January 3, in the East Hall at Union Station in Washington, D.C.Vice President Joe Biden participated in the program and performed the swearing-in for the Hispanic members of the 113th Congress, and newly-elected CHCI and Congressional Hispanic CaucusChair Rep. Rubén Hinojosa.
More than 600 people turned out for the ceremony to hear from Biden, Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar, former Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis, and Senator Robert Menendez. Telemundo anchor Jose Diaz-Balart served as celebrity emcee and the event was hosted by Time Warner Cable.
I kicked off the Inauguration 2013 weekend off with co-workers at TruOrleans for a Inaugural Happy Hour.
Then Saturday afternoon giving back with Erin Lyons, MC Lyte and Pharrell Williams for the Point of Light and Target at the Unite America Day of Service.
Next, I headed off to the Kappa Ball at the Sheraton in Crystal City. Yet, somehow the night continued with me at the exclusive L2 Lounge in Georgetown.
Sunday was a quite breezy night with a top notch party at Long View Art Gallery hosted by Hawthorne and Hemlock.
I moved into the morning with little to no sleep to head down to the National Mall to watch the 57th Inauguration.
Six hours later while walking with a sore back, heavy legs and tired feet I attempted to take a quick nap and get ready for City Tavern Club Inaugural Celebration.
Tuesday ended the month long celebration at the Inauguration Reception at the U.S. Capitol Building.
