To spread the joy of giving among youth through Touching Heart.
Why is this cause so dear to you:
As a former TV journalist, I reported on the perils our children face every day with something as simple as attending school. It was heartbreaking to sit at the anchor desk and tell the public, once again, that children had been victimized, at times, by one another. It was then that I realized I wanted to be part of something positive for kids, teaching them to be compassionate and loving towards one another. I learned of Touching Heart and the good they were doing in our community soon after moving to Fairfax. After meeting the co-founder, Helen Yi, and hearing her inspiring story and efforts to mold the hearts of local children, I knew I just had to be part of this cause! And I can tell you, it was the best decision of my life. Since joining Touching Heart, I’ve seen first-hand the effects this wonderful organization has on our area’s youth. Kids get a chance to learn about others’ struggles and how they can put compassion into action. It fills me with joy to see these kids grow in love and kindness for others in need and develop an appreciation for their everyday blessings. Touching Heart is actively molding our children’s character and empowering them to change the world!

We are still accepting corporate sponsors and players for the tournament. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or visit our website at www.touchingheart.com. We would also greatly appreciate any donations for our bagged lunch project coming up in mid-April, where we will make 90 lunches for the Embry Rucker Shelter.
