Ladies don’t get upset if your man tells you he’s going to Mpire Club, join him!

DC’s newest luxury adult entertainment venue is now open. In the building formerly known as Joanna’s 1819 Club on M Street, next door to Ozio Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge. We had the pleasure of being invited to a media preview event.

Upon entering we were introduced to the very handsome and charismatic owner, Adrian Kundamnal. We were then lead to the first floor bar. The decor is warm and yet upscale. Which seems like any other bar, however there are dancer’s poles and platforms on both sides. The drink menu features handcrafted cocktails (our faves). I ordered the “Tiberius” cocktail. Which I recommend if you are a vodka girl.

As other members of the media begin to file in, two beautiful cocktail waitresses served us a sampling of Mpire‘s fare. The “Tocino” smoked bacon, fresh mozzarella is topped with tomato chutney and the “Roma” which are risotto balls stuffed with cheese and served with pomodoro sauce. The menu is inspired by the Mpire name and focuses on European small plates. Items represent many of the contemporary flavors from regions once controlled by the Roman Empire. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Alika Keone as well.

After everyone had their second drink in hand, we all made our way to the second floor. The ambiance is unlike any other nightlife venue in DC! Roman-style relief sculptures, colossal crystal chandeliers, and white tufted chairs. It’s first class all the way around.

The final destination was the third floor which is the VIP level. For you “Ballers” out there – the bottle service Cristal Magnum is $3600! The area is private and more intimate. Perfect for a “Guys Night Out” or a “Girls Night Out” or just because you are in the mood for a table dance.

By the time we returned to the second floor the dancers had started their evening. So we decided to order a glass of Pinot Grigio and have a seat. One by one the gorgeous dancers walked around in evening gowns introducing themselves. The music was phenomenal! DJ Charity is more than just a pretty face. The atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable you forget that you are in a gentlemen’s club aside from the energetic entertainers. The pièce de résistance is the shower show. I will say no more. You will have to see it for yourself!

Needless to say, the 3-story state-of-the-art facility has been constructed to satisfy guests every need. Mr. Kudamnal spared no expense to ensure the ultimate in client entertainment!

“We wanted to build a venue that was inviting to everyone. The details are extremely important to us, as is having an excellent chef, menu and mixology program…we wanted to differentiate ourselves and try and pioneer the fine dining and exotic lounge concept. We build on our foundation with top DJ’s and state of the art light and sound.” -Owner Adrian Kundamnal

– No cell phones or photos obviously.
– The venue is available for private events.
– No other adult entertainment club in the nation’s capitol offers this combination of exceptional food and drink.
– There is an ATM on the first floor that dispenses two dollar bills.
– The venue is filled with unique touches!
Mpire will be giving back to the community as well – Mr. Kundanmal will be giving back 5% of the annual proceeds to local Women’s Charities.
